After almost a year of speculation, Borussia Dortmund and England international Jadon Sancho is finally a Manchester United player. Football insider Fabrizio Romano broke the news on Wednesday:

As you can see, the deal is worth €90 million plus add-ons and will keep him at Old Trafford until 2026. While medicals still need to be done, Jadon Sancho looks to be heading back to Manchester. The 21-year-old previously played in the Manchester City system before taking his talents to the Bundesliga in 2017.

In Germany, Sancho developed into one of the most exciting young players in world football. The Red Devils desperately tried to secure his signature in the summer of 2020, but the funds simply weren’t available due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Jadon Sancho is currently at Euro 2020 with the Three Lions, but he’s barely seen the pitch as Gareth Southgate’s side prepares for a quarterfinal clash with Ukraine on Saturday. Nevertheless, he’s a wonderful talent who will immediately make an impact with Manchester United upon his arrival. With an already strong attack consisting of Marcus Rashford, Bruno Fernandes, and Mason Greenwood, among others, Jadon Sancho brings a versatile skill set to the side. He’s a tremendous playmaker and can thread a pass like nobody’s business, while also showing the ability to bag goals.

With Dortmund last term, Sancho netted 16 times across all competitions while tallying 15 assists.
