The Jacksonville Jaguars have been one of the surprise teams in the NFL this season currently leading the AFC South heading into Week 12.

However, the Jaguars will have to do it without their star cornerback Jalen Ramsey due to a hand injury that he suffered in Friday's practice as he told Michael DiRocco of ESPN that he won't be able to take the field on Sunday afternoon against the Arizona Cardinals.

Ramsey has been a huge part of the puzzle to the Jaguars' secondary this season as he and offseason acquisition A.J. Bouye have quickly become a shutdown cornerback duo. His injury will likely push nickelback Aaron Colvin into his starting spot on the outside.

The Jaguars currently hold the top overall defense statistically in the league while allowing a league'best 14.1 points per game, ranking first against the pass giving up 162 passing yards and a 64.5 quarterback rating.

Ahead of the matchup, Cardinals star wideout Larry Fitzgerald offered some huge praise toward the second-year cornerback ranking him among the top players at his position in the league, according to Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.

Larry Fitzgerald was given the news during his media gaggle Friday that Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey injured his hand and won’t be playing Sunday. Fitz then had this to say: “I mean, Jalen Ramsey with one hand is better with 95 percent of the cornerbacks in the league.”

His absence from the contest could have a significant impact on things play out on Sunday afternoon.
