While Leonard Fournette has shown some positive flashes so far this year, he's struggled to find his footing so far. Has that all changed though? The Jacksonville Jaguars squared off with the Denver Broncos for a Week 4 matchup on Sunday.

In that game, Fournette has been putting in some serious work. Coming into the game, the running back had 179 yards on 43 carries in three games.

He had nearly half of those yards on Sunday in one carry, when he evaded the Denver defense for a massive 81-yard run.

Fournette shows a nice burst to start the run. Then he jukes a defender and later carries another one for a few extra yards. He certainly showed the acceleration, speed, agility, and power that you'd covet in a star running back? Could this be his breakout play?

It's certainly looking like a breakout game.

Through three quarters, Fournette already has 178 yards on 20 carries. That's one less rushing yard than he had all season before this game.

So while that big run definitely helped, it hasn't been the lone positive of the game for Fournette. He's been running well most of the day and is putting the Jaguars offense in a fantastic position to succeed.

81 yards isn't a new career-long (that would be a 90-yarder back in his rookie year of 2017) but it is a new season-long for Fournette. Meanwhile, 178 yards is only three yards away from tying his career-high for a single season (181 yards which was also done in his rookie year of 2017).

With the way he's running the ball this game, it's safe to assume Fournette could be working with a new high in that category by the end of the day.
