Like several other professional athletes, Utah Jazz star Donovan Mitchell decided to serve up a response to President Donald Trump's tweet about LeBron James from Friday night.

In his message, Trump referred to a television interview that James recently participated in with CNN's Don Lemon. James, who opened a public school in Akron earlier this week, spoke on politics and several other topics, including his stance on sports dividing the country.

“What I've noticed over the past few months,” James told Lemon during their sit-down interview on Monday. “(Is) he's kinda used sports to kinda divide us, and that's something that I can't relate to.”

James' interview with Lemon seems to have rubbed Trump the wrong way. As he often does, the president sent out an opinionated tweet on the matter.

“Lebron James was just interviewed by the dumbest man on television, Don Lemon,” Trump wrote in his tweet. “He made Lebron look smart, which isn’t easy to do. I like Mike!”

Trump's bit about “liking Mike” is obviously a reference to Michael Jordan.

James, now 33 years of age, appeared on Lemon's show Monday. The interview was re-aired Friday night, just before Trump's Twitter fingers started heating up.

On the morning after Trump's tweet was sent, Mitchell decided to post a response of his own.

“A sign of an insecure human being is one who attacks others to make themselves feel better… im just sad that young kids have to see stupid tweets like these and grow up thinking it’s okay… forget everything else Donald your setting a bad example for kids😑 our future 🤡”

Mitchell, 21, makes a solid point. Berating someone's intelligence is simply not a good look for anyone, especially the president of the United States.
