Utah Jazz shooting guard Donovan Mitchell is ready for Joe Ingles' antics when Team USA and Australia meet next week.

USA and Australia meet next week for a FIBA World Cup exhibition game.

Mitchell is prepared for plenty of Ingles' legendary trash talk and cheeky play.

“He's always grabbing at you, pulling your shorts and stuff,” said Mitchell, recounting his experience on the Jazz practice court with Ingles. “He's a fierce competitor and I'm looking forward to it.”

All signs point toward Donovan Mitchell making the 12-man USA roster for the FIBA World Cup in China. Joe Ingles is already a lock to make the Australian team.

Even though it's an exhibition game, the two Jazz teammates are going to go at one another since they both love to compete.

The Jazz are considered title contenders next season after acquiring point guard Mike Conley from the Memphis Grizzlies and signing Bojan Bogdanovic, Jeff Green and Ed Davis in free agency this summer. Utah's projected starting lineup is Mike Conley, Donovan Mitchell, Joe Ingles, Bojan Bogdanovic and Rudy Gobert. That's as good as any starting five in the NBA.

Mitchell and Ingles will come into Jazz training camp already in a good basketball rhythm after playing in the World Cup. Gobert is playing for France, so he'll be in the same boat as Mitchell and Ingles.
