Grayson Allen knows how to play the role of the villain. He excelled in that role for Duke and this has caused Allen to attract a large following of haters. His girlfriend posted a photo of the two on Instagram and the Allen haters were out in full force. The comments went after Allen for a number of things, including his penchant for tripping his opponents on the basketball court.

Allen's NBA career is off to a slow start. He's struggling to find playing time in Utah, but the 21st overall pick's future is still bright. It can be difficult for rookies to join a ready-made contender.
The Jazz are coming off of a season where they shocked the world by advancing to the Western Conference Semifinals. They are built to compete with the best of the best. It can be hard for Grayson Allen to force his way into the rotation on a team that features a handful of solid veterans.
The backcourt is crowded and Allen's defense has been a liability for the Jazz. That is probably the biggest reason for head coach Quin Snyder's decision to keep Grayson Allen on the fringe of the rotation.
There's no need to panic for Jazz fans. The vast majority of rookies struggle to find their footing. Allen's progress won't happen all at once. The good news for Utah is that they don't need their first-round pick to be some kind of savior. Grayson Allen can develop at his own pace while the veterans hold it down.
