Mike Conley had his best game for the Utah Jazz on Friday, as he led his squad to a 106-100 win over the Los Angeles Clippers. The 33-year-old logged a game-high 33 points against Kawhi Leonard and the Clippers, which prompted some high praise from Jazz coach Quin Snyder.

After the game, Snyder expressed how vindicated he feels about never losing faith in Conley. According to coach Snyder, he has afforded the veteran point guard with the greenest of green lights for the Jazz:

“It’s like a green sun. If the sun was green. It’s that bright,” Snyder said, via Eric Walden of The Salt Lake Tribune.

Conley certainly had it going on against the Clippers, putting up the most points he's ever scored in a Jazz uniform. Along with his game-high 33 points, the 6-foot-1 guard also added seven triples, two rebounds, seven assists, a steal, and just two turnovers in 34 minutes of action.

Now in his second year in Utah, Conley admitted that his debut season with the Jazz last term was anything but ideal. However, he's now delighted with how things have been much better this season:

“You know, honestly, I’m just happy to be able to see this thing grow, myself included, because last year was a tough year,” Conley said. “I just went through a lot personally — on and off the court, it was a tough year.”

Conley has had a tremendous start to the 2020-21 season and is currently averaging 21.4 points (on 47.4 percent shooting), 5.2 rebounds, 5.2 assists, and 1.1 steals, while also knocking down a career-best 3.8 triples per game on a 45.2-percent clip for the Jazz.
