Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert showed his multilingual skills as he answered a Puerto Rican reporter's question in Spanish on Thursday. Since Spanish isn't exactly his first or even second language, the Stifle Tower made sure his grammar was on point by asking his good friend and former teammate Ricky Rubio.

Gobert re-tweeted a post from The Salt Lake Tribune's Eric Walden, asking if his Spanish passed the Spaniard's standards.

The one-time All-Star was asked about Jordan Clarkson's impressive play off the bench for the Jazz season. Gobert responded by claiming that Clarkson is having a fantastic impact and is well equipped to handle his role as the team's sixth man.

Ricky Rubio has yet to answer Gobert's tweet, but he'll probably give him two thumbs up for this one. In fact, Gobert's Spanish-speaking followers — Jazz fans or not — actually responded and commended him for his fluent use of the language.

Aside from both hailing from Europe, Gobert and Rubio have developed a special bond after being teammates with the Jazz from 2017-19. Rubio is now playing for the Minnesota Timberwolves, but it's clear that his relationship with the Frenchman remains strong.

Gobert and the Jazz, meanwhile, easily defeated the Atlanta Hawks at State Farm Arena on Thursday, 112-91. The 7-foot giant finished with a strong double-double effort of 11 points and 12 rebounds, along with two assists and two blocks in 27 minutes. With Gobert's strong mastery of the interior, Utah still holds the best record in the league at 17-5.

Gobert is currently norming 13.2 points, 13.4 rebounds, and 2.6 rejections in 22 games for the Jazz this season.
