With the start of the a new NBA season upon us, Utah Jazz star Donovan Mitchell shared a letter to all of the Jazz fans.

“Dear Utah,

From the moment I stepped off the plane as a 20-year-old kid, you’ve been behind me. And I am still a kid. Just one year older. A whole lot more grateful. Grateful for the highs and lows and for the ups and downs. And for playing for the best fans anyone can ask for. I am always thinking of making you proud. Making you get on your feet. Making sure I do everything I can to bring home a W. This isn’t a farewell letter. It's the promise of a new chapter. And although I will always just be a kid from Connecticut, I always will be a rookie from Utah, because this feels like home. And home is everything.

Sincerely,

Your No. 45, Donovan”

After the Jazz lost their star in Gordon Hayward last summer, they needed another star to fill his shoes. When the Jazz drafted Mitchell, they did not think he would quickly turn into the star he is today and become an immediate franchise cornerstone.

As the Jazz embark on another season, they look to build upon on what was a promising season last year. They have bigger goals in mind this season. With Mitchell and Rudy Gobert in the fold, they know they can possibly achieve those goals and possibly even more.

This team has a lot of talent and growth still to come. Mitchell wants to pump the fans up and he did with this letter. He knows he is the leader of this team and wants to reach the promised land by winning a championship.
