After missing the first preseason game of the Philadelphia 76ers, it now appears that newly-acquired point guard Jerryd Bayless may miss more time, even beyond the ongoing preseason.

This is definitely a huge blow to the Philly faithful who already saw their top pick of this year's draft, Ben Simmons, forced to miss significant time due to injury.

With the 6-foot-3 Bayless likely to sit out games, the bulk of the minutes at the point is expected to be given to T.J. McConnell, while third string guard Sergio Rodriguez will be promoted to the back-up role.

As reported by Keith Pompey of philly.com, here's what the 28-year-old Arizona product had to say about his current condition and the chances of him missing the start of the season:

“It’s not the best right now.”

“Yeah, I might.”

Sixers fans will now have to hope that he recovers quickly and that the team gets back to full strength soon. Philly fans have high hopes for the team to make some noise in the East this season and finish better than how they did the past few years.
