With the 2019 NFL Draft set to begin, it appears memories of last year's festivities have the New York Jets feeling thankful for quarterback Sam Darnold. They decided to take the opportunity to acknowledge the New York Giants for helping to make it happen.

The Giants passed on Darnold with the second overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. The Jets took to social media to thank them for their decision, via Twitter:

The Giants were quick to remind their neighbors of what they ultimately ended up with.

It is easy to see why the Jets may feel like they came out on top. They managed to secure their future franchise quarterback for years to come and are now able to address some of the other voids on their roster moving forward. Darnold showed plenty of promise during his rookie campaign. Despite his struggles throughout the season, there is no question that he is still considered to be one of the most talented, young quarterbacks in the league.

Meanwhile, the Giants are still answering their questions under center. It is no secret that quarterback Eli Manning's time in New York is running and out and the team is still without a surefire replacement to take over when he is done. Fortunately, they can take solace in the fact that running back Saquon Barkley managed to fit the billing as a premier workhorse in the backfield. The Giants can further justify their pick if they can find a way to address their quarterback needs in the near future.
