The New York Jets are out to a bit of a slow start to begin the 2018 season dropping three out of four games in the first month of the season.

Things could get a bit more difficult in Week 5 against the Denver Broncos as two key players in wide receiver Quincy Enunwa and cornerback Trumaine Johnson are both dealing with injuries that were suffered in practice on Thursday, according to Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk.

Wide receiver Quincy Enunwa (hip), cornerback Trumaine Johnson (quad) and cornerback Darryl Roberts (hamstring) were all listed as limited in practice after not appearing on Wednesday’s report at all. Head coach Todd Bowles said after practice that all three players were hurt on Thursday and will continue to be evaluated heading into the weekend.

Enunwa has stepped into the role of being rookie quarterback Sam Darnold's No.1 receiving target this year as he leads the team with 21 catches for 278 receiving yards and a touchdown. This has seen him top 50 receiving yards and at least four catches in each of the first four games played. Enunwa has proven to be a reliable receiving option for Darnold, but the rest of wide receiving core has struggled to provide sufficient play in the passing game as no other player has more than 10 catches for 160 receiving yards.

Meanwhile, Johnson has stepped into a prominent role in the secondary for the Jets in the early goings of his tenure with the team. He has provided stable play as the top cornerback that has helped them have one of the better pass defenses in the league ranking 14th overall in that regard through the first four weeks.

There should be a more clear injury designation for both Johnson and Enunwa over the next couple of days that should determine their status for Week 5 action.
