New York Jets rookie defensive lineman Quinnen Williams arrived at training camp a day late due to the fact that he still had not signed a contract at that point, but now, Williams is ready to go, and apparently, he used YouTube to prepare himself for this moment.

“I just worked out on my own, there’s not really much else I can do,” said Williams, according to Olivia Landis of the Jets' official team website. “I can YouTube everything, I don’t really have to go pay a superstar-performance dude, I can just YouTube and do it. You’re going to go on the field by yourself, you can’t take the performance coach with you. I just YouTubed a lot, I did a lot of stuff that we do here over and over. I did a lot of conditioning and I ran track a lot because I saw DeSean Jackson running track all the time, so I got me some track cleats and started running the track all the time. I had a conditioning test, so it got me in great shape for it.”

Williams, who played his collegiate football at the University of Alabama, was selected by the Jets with the third overall pick of the NFL Draft back in April.

He is coming off of a terrific sophomore campaign in which he racked up 71 tackles, 19.5 tackles for loss, and eight sacks.

Williams will be joining a Jets defense that is already pretty solid, especially after an offseason in which New York added C.J. Mosley to its linebacking corps.
New York won just four games this past season, and as a result, the Jets fired head coach Todd Bowles after four years and ultimately replaced him with former Miami Dolphins coach Adam Gase.
The Jets have not made the playoffs since the 2010-11 campaign.
