New York Jets quarterback Sam Darnold left early in Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills before heading to the locker room with team doctors.

Darnold returned to the starting lineup this week after not playing since Week 9 against the Miami Dolphins.

But apparently, the injury luck is once again not in the rookie quarterback's favor, as he has gone back to the locker room with the team's medical staff, according to ESPN reporter Rich Cimini.

Josh McCown has entered the game in Darnold's place in hopes of helping the Jets snap a six-game losing streak.

Darnold has thrown for 1,934 yards and 11 touchdowns this season while posting 11 interceptions. As for McCown, he's now completed 60 passes for 539 yards and a touchdown this season, but he's struggled in throwing four interceptions.

It seems likely that there will be major changes for the franchise following this season, as the current losing streak just hasn't been ideal after starting 3-3 on the year.

Of course, it also doesn't help that Buffalo won the previous meeting between the two teams by 31 points in New York, so it could be an uphill battle in today's game.

The Jets' best chance to get back on track is with Darnold under center, and it's essential that he gets fully healthy to help this team get back near the top of the AFC.
