An unlikely hero, Kelly Olynyk, helped in leading the Boston Celtics past the Washington Wizards in Game 7 of their second-round series. Olynyk came off the bench to score a playoff career-high 26 points, which helped Boston beat Washington 115-105.

The stretch big man made a huge impact in the fourth quarter, where he shot 5-of-6 from the field and scored 14 points. Olynyk was hitting from deep and at the rim as the Wizards defense kept getting hung up on screens and leaving him wide open. Knowing that he had the hot hand, the Celtics kept feeding Olynyk the ball and he delivered. And thanks to his hot shooting, the Celtics were able to maintain their lead and ultimately defeat the Wizards.

After some inconsistencies against the Chicago Bulls in the first-round, Olynyk played quite well against the Wizards. He rebounded, scored, and played tough defense against the Wizards' second unit. The Celtics will need Olynyk to continue playing at such a high level in the Eastern Conference Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers as they will need all of their role players to step up if they want to advance to the NBA Finals.

Boston will host Cleveland for Game 1 on Wednesday at the TD Banknorth Garden.
