Superstar small forward Kevin Durant recently made a decision that shook the entire NBA. He announced in the Player's Tribune that he intends to sign with the Golden State Warriors for the 2016-17 season, pretty much forming the scariest death line-up in NBA history. Although he may acquire many accolades and a likely chance at an NBA title, he potentially may have ruined his reputation among his dedicated fans.

Certain fans dealt with the decision in more aggressive ways, but young fans who grew up having Kevin Durant as an OKC basketball hero had a more emotional reaction. Unfortunately for Twitter user Terry Rimmer's son, the news was broke to him while enjoying a nice sunny 4th of July afternoon.

This abandonment must hit OKC fans hard. For nine years, Durant helped build this team into what it is today, even during the the Seattle SuperSonic days. From losing the 2012 NBA Finals to the Heat to losing to GSW in a 3-1 upset effort, KD has shared many bad memories with the OKC fanbase. Now that he is leaving for the team that stopped him from making his second Finals appearance, it seems the 2014 MVP will never share that ultimate happy moment with his old supporters.
