In what was supposed to be a competitive 2017-18 NBA season for the Sacramento Kings, things have instead turned into a complete disaster. Their lackluster performance has even come with its fair share of off-court drama as well.

As a result, it seems the Kings have already started building for next year by shopping their bevy of veteran players. Not surprisingly, the name that has reportedly been brought to the forefront is point guard Geroge Hill, according to Sean Deveney of Sporting News.

The Kings gave playoff competitiveness a chance for about three or four games, but are back where you’d expect to find them — hunting for a deal that could bolster their future. Guard George Hill has already been shopped and would be a good fit on a contender.

George Hill found himself in hot water a few weeks back after posting a cryptic tweet that seemed to be in regards to the Kings' early struggles. Despite clarifying that the tweet was in regards to his individual performance that night, he has since expressed his displeasure with the Kings' inability to compete in the Western Conference.

Meanwhile, veteran forward Vince Carter has echoed some of Hill's sentiments in regards to his role on the team. The only one that seems to be content is the 36-year-old Zach Randolph, who has managed to carry over his steady production from the Memphis Grizzlies.  That said, Sacramento has plenty of veteran pieces they can deal to help bolster their rebuild.

George Hill, 31 years old, signed a three-year $57 million contract with the Kings over the summer.
