During his NBA career, Andrew Bogut has developed a reputation for his physicality. At times, his opponents have taken exception to it.

Even though Bogut's adversaries are the ones making these observations, his teammates are well aware of it as well. They practice against the Australian center all year long, and they get a front row seat to his antics during games.

After playing together for the last four years, Klay Thompson is very familiar with Bogut's physical nature on the court. Ahead of Team USA's matchup with the Aussies, Thompson wished his former teammate good luck, but he also jokingly warned Bogut to watch his elbows.

Thompson, from an interview with ESPN:

“Good luck and watch those elbows big fella. I know how physical Bogut plays and he never backs down from a challenge.

“I'm usually the one getting the physical screens set for, but I'll be the one to get screened tomorrow so I'll try my best to fight through them because he's a big man.”

Once Kevin Durant decided to join the Dubs this summer, Golden State was forced to part ways with a number of key contributors in order to create cap space. Bogut was included among the departures. After the Olympics, he'll join Harrison Barnes, a Team USA member who was also let go by the Warriors, as they continue their careers with the Dallas Mavericks.

For the time being, Bogut is solely focused on his game against the Americans, which he referred to as “the ultimate test” for Australia. Tipoff is at 6:00 p.m. EST on NBC Sports Network.
