Fat Joe is one of the most successful artist in the rap industry, but he might be interested in applying for an assistant coaching job with the New York Knicks.

A native of The Bronx, Fat Joe is an avid Knicks fan. However, he knows his team is struggling this season, and he's offering to help.

You might need to lean back for this one, as Joe's message to the Knicks is fairly straight forward:

The Undefeated: You’ve never been afraid to express your love for the Knicks. But how do you feel about the team now after another rough start?

Fat Joe: They ain’t turning nothing around this year. Maybe they need to get Fat Joe as an assistant coach and stop playing. They need to get somebody who really knows the game. Let it be known, I’m applying for the job.

It's not clear if Fat Joe is serious about his desire to be an assistant for the Knicks, who are currently holding a 7-24 overall record. His beloved team clearly needs some help, but would he be the right man for the job?

Though he's enjoyed a successful career in the music industry, Fat Joe admits that he's leaning towards retirement:

“I think I’m 85 percent toward retirement,” Joe said during a recent publicity run for his latest album, Family Ties.

The Knicks will look to snap a three-game losing streak on Thursday, when they'll square off against their crosstown rivals, the Brooklyn Nets. Tip-off inside the Barclays Center is set for 7:30 p.m. ET.
