New York Knicks power forward Marcus Morris won't be suspended after receiving a Flagrant 2 ejection against the Washington Wizards on Monday, according to Marc Berman of the New York Post.

Morris batted the ball off Wizards forward Justin Anderson's face. The two got into a minor scuffle before the refs ejected Morris.

According to an industry official, it does not appear new Knicks forward Marcus Morris will receive a suspension after his Flagrant 2 ejection in Monday’s preseason opener for batting a ball in the face of Wizards forward Justin Anderson.

All Flagrant 2’s are reviewed by the NBA to determine if a suspension is warranted. The league apparently decided Morris’ maneuvers were without intent to harm.

Marcus Morris apologized to his Knicks teammates after the game. The veteran swingman wasn't kidding around when he said he wants to bring grit back to New York basketball.

Last season with the Boston Celtics, Morris averaged 13.9 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 75 games. He shot 44.7 percent from the floor, 37.5 percent from beyond the arc and 84.4 percent from the free-throw line.

The Knicks have been a walking disaster for years under owner James Dolan. The franchise hasn’t made the playoffs since 2013 and had the worst record in the NBA last season.

However, the seven veterans the Knicks signed this offseason are tough-minded individuals who are going to help and teach the youngsters in New York what it takes to win in the NBA. Those veterans include Morris, Julius Randle, Taj Gibson, Bobby Portis, Elfrid Payton, Wayne Ellington and Reggie Bullock.
