We all know that New York Knicks forward Michael Beasley is the type of player/person who marches to the beat of his own drum, so while it’s surprising to learn that the former lottery pick fouled out of Sunday’s contest against the Atlanta Hawks after seeing just 10 minutes of playing time, it’s not as shocking as it was downright funny.

What Michael Beasley did accomplish wasn’t easy. For one, most players would dial down on their aggressiveness after committing two or three fouls. But not Beasley, who got whistled for his sixth foul of the night after trying to wrestle the ball away from Hawks forward Ersan Ilyasova in the fourth quarter with still over seven minutes remaining on the game clock.

Perhaps, the Knicks forward's adrenaline was just on a high in that game and was too eager to a fault in showing how much he wanted to play. The 28-year-old Beasley scored just one point and grabbed two rebounds, but finished with a plus-11 plus/minus rating. In other words, he did make a positive impact on the Knicks, and was part of the reason why New York pulled off a 111-107 win.
