The New York Knicks have managed to nab some wins after the firing of David Fizdale, including an encouraging one over the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday. Yet that has hardly kept a few players from wanting to be traded.

According to SNY's Ian Begley, “there's no reason to think the Knicks won't make and take calls on any players on the roster, with the likely exception of RJ Barrett and Mitchell Robinson.”

A few Knicks have also expressed their preference to be traded in recent weeks, doing so in private ahead of the upcoming Feb. 6 trade deadline.

The Knicks are 8-24 and have fallen well short of expectations. Many of the players are on player-friendly deals, able to leave after the 2019-20 campaign due to a player option on their contracts — yet many did not expect to waste away for a team that has merely won 25% of the 32 games played thus far.

Leading scorer Marcus Morris has drawn great interest in past weeks, considering he's a top-five 3-point shooter in terms of efficiency and quickly carving an important role for New York. The Minnesota Timberwolves have also eyed Dennis Smith Jr. in the wake of a Jeff Teague demotion to the bench and letting Tyus Jones walk in free agency.

Julius Randle, who was the first signing from the New York front office this summer, could also be on the block after falling short of the production the Knicks expected to get from him. Randle signed a three-year, $63 million deal in the summer.
