New York Knicks prized rookie Kevin Knox is reportedly set to return to action on Monday against the Chicago Bulls.

Kevin Knox picked up a left ankle sprain against the Boston Celtics last month, effectively ruling him out for at least two weeks. He already missed five games for the Knicks so far, though he traveled with the team as they visit the Dallas Mavericks.

According to Marc Berman of New York Post, however, Knox will make his return from injury when the Knicks play the Bulls at Madison Square Garden this Monday. He also noted that the 19-year-old wouldn’t play in Sunday’s road game versus the Washington Wizards because the team doesn’t want him to play in back-to-back matches.

“If you’re looking to bear witness to Kevin Knox’s first game back from a left ankle sprain, buy a ticket for the Garden on Monday,” Marc Berman wrote in his report.

Knox has been averaging 13.5 points and 3.0 rebounds per game before sustaining his ankle injury. He played in just four minutes against the Celtics and did not return.

The Kentucky Wildcats product had his best performance in the second game of the season, against the Brooklyn Nets. He put up 17 points and six rebounds in the encounter after 28 minutes of play.
