While most fans in Madison Square Garden were preparing for another Jarrett Jack desperation heave at the end of the half, they were greatly surprised to see the plot twist behind it.

Jack quarterbacked a 40-yard pass toward Tim Hardaway Jr.'s direction, which he caught in the air, and shot from 21 feet to beat the buzzer, giving New York a 65-44 lead at the half, celebrating as the ball went through the net.

Cue the Timmy Shimmy.

This isn't the way it's usually drawn up, but head coach Jeff Hornacek and his team will take it, as it helped open up a 21-point lead against a very dangerous Miami Heat team.

The Knicks had to chip in collectively after losing star forward Kristaps Porzingis only three minutes into the game, as he was taken back to the locker room and ruled out for the rest of the game.

It was an all-around effort, paced by Enes Kanter's 22 points and 14 rebounds, aided by hot shooting nights from Doug McDermott and Courtney Lee.

Even without their star player, the Knicks managed to snap a three-game skid and go over the .500 mark, getting a three-day rest before facing the Orlando Magic at home.
