It wasn't too long ago that Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James decided to rip the NBA for even considering having the All-Star Game this year amid the great risks brought about by the coronavirus pandemic. Yet here we are. For his part, league commissioner Adam Silver has addressed LeBron's scathing criticism with a strong and straightforward response.

According to Silver, he believes it would have been best if James had opted to raise his concerns with the league internally as opposed to making his criticism public (h/t Mark Medina of USA Today):

“I respect his point of view, but it can be issues that can be worked out in the family,” said Silver.

James wasn't the only one who blasted the NBA for pushing through with its All-Star plans. Among others, Los Angeles Clippers star Kawhi Leonard also echoed LeBron's “slap in the face” thoughts. Needless to say, there were more than a few personalities around the league that did not agree with the NBA's intentions. Yet here we are.

For his part, LeBron now appears to be on board with the whole All-Star extravaganza. He appeared to be in good spirits during Thursday night's All-Star Draft, and it did not appear as though The King had any qualms about the upcoming game.

Most importantly, perhaps, is the fact that James decided to utilize the weekend to carry on with his fight against social injustice. It was earlier reported that LeBron was going to use the spotlight of the All-Star festivities to raise his voice against the controversy surrounding voter suppression in Georgia. Clearly, there's no way LeBron James is shutting up and dribbling this weekend.
