Los Angeles Lakers superstar big man Anthony Davis had a monster performance on Friday, as he led his side to a 123-113 victory against no less than his former team, the New Orleans Pelicans.

Davis was cooking all night long, and as a matter of fact, he already logged 40-10 by the end of the third period — something that he has already achieved previously in this same season.

Anthony Davis finished with 46 points (15-of-21 from the field, 13-of-13 from the stripe), 13 rebounds, an assist, three steals and a block. The 6-foot-10 big man also added three 3-pointers, as he put forth one of the best performances in his young Lakers career. This follows another outstanding effort from the six-time All-Star in the Lakers' previous meeting against the Pelicans, so at this point, it is safe to say that Davis takes pleasure in playing against his former squad.

This makes it four consecutive wins for the Lakers, which is an excellent response to their concerning four-game losing streak in late December. They will now look to make it five straight, as they host the Detroit Pistons at the Staples Center on Sunday night. The Pistons have been dealing with a myriad of injuries of late, and are currently all over the place, so this should definitely be a winnable game for L.A.

As for Davis, he has been playing at an elite level all season long, averaging 27.8 points (on 50.9 percent shooting), 9.5 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.5 steals, and 2.4 blocks, along with a career-best 1.1 3-pointers per contest.
