Los Angeles Lakers superstar Anthony Davis had a sensational game against his former team, the New Orleans Pelicans.

AD finished with 41 points, helping the Lakers overcome an 18-point and walk away with a 114-110 win. He also set an all-time record with his offensive outburst.

Davis also had nine rebounds and three steals, one of which came in the final six seconds of the game, when he intercepted an inbounds pass which was intended for Brandon Ingram.

Pelicans fans booed Davis all night, but he didn't let it affect his game. He already had 36 points in the middle of the third quarter, and if he didn't suffer that mild elbow injury that caused him to sit out for several minutes, he could've had more. The Lakers kept feeding AD the ball and it was clear that the Pelicans defense can't do much against him.

The Lakers have now won nine straight and have improved to an NBA-best 16-2 record.

LeBron James finished with 29 points, five rebounds, and 11 assists, while Kyle Kuzma spearheaded the Lakers' comeback, finishing with 16 points on 6-8 shooting, including four crucial 3-pointers.

Jrue Holiday led the Pelicans with 29 points, six rebounds, 12 assists, and three steals. After the game, he exchanged jerseys AD, who's been a good friend of his for the past seven years.

Brandon Ingram who also faced his former team; struggled mightily against the Lakers. He put up 23 points on an abysmal 4-21 shooting, including 2-11 from 3. This is his shooting performance of the season.

The next game between the Lakers and the Pelicans will be on January 4th at Staples Center.
