Anthony Davis has dealt with myriad injuries throughout the course of his career. Through seven full seasons, the 26-year-old big man has played more than 70 games in a season just twice. Davis' most recent impairment, a gluteus maximus injury, has kept the All-Star out of the Los Angeles Lakers' lineup for the past three games and will keep him out a fourth.

While Davis has taken a beating in his career, the 6-foot-10 big man admits his game still won't change when he comes back:

“It doesn’t bother me,” Davis told Mark Medina of USA TODAY Sports. “Whether they try to be physical or whatever, I’ll still try to find a way to impact the game.”

In the three games without their star big man, other Lakers have stepped up and the team is 3-0 during the stretch while outscoring opponents by a combined 59 points. For the entire season, Los Angeles is 4-1 without Davis.

Of course, the Lakers will need Davis healthy to win a title, and he's going to keep doing things his way as he tries to help his new team win a title:

“I just go out there and compete. I’ve always played this way,” Davis said. “I’ve always have been a guy who wants to win. Being here, people are starting to see more and more. There’s nothing I haven’t been doing since New Orleans. People that really follow me know that. Being here, the stage is a little bigger and people are starting to see it.”

After an offseason trade from the New Orleans Pelicans to the Lakers, Davis has continued to cement himself as one of the NBA's top players. This season, Davis is averaging 27.1 points, 9.4 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 2.6 blocks and 1.5 steals per game. The former Kentucky Wildcat has also been efficient from the floor, shooting the ball at an over 50 percent clip.
