Renowned NBA analyst Bill Simmons has recently shared some insider info on the adversarial relationship between Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James and Golden State Warriors two-time MVP winner Stephen Curry. According to Simmons, he is adamant that while these two have undeniable mutual respect for each other, there's also no denying that they just don't like one another.

“It is not friendly. I think LeBron really has genuine disdain for him,” Simmons said recently on “The Book of Basketball 2.0” podcast, via Drew Shiller of NBC Sports. “And I think Curry's kind of like, ‘F–k you, I've won as many titles as you have.' And you could feel it festering in this 2016 (Finals) because there's this underlying current of LeBron has gone back to Cleveland, the King is back, and then Curry comes in and kind of grabs the crown a little bit.

“And more importantly I think to LeBron … became really popular.”

Over the past half-decade these two have been going at it year after year, with Curry's Warriors always proving to be the thorn in LeBron James' side. The Dubs have won three out of their past four meetings in the Finals, and as it turns out, this has obviously not been taken to well by LeBron.

While the animosity appears to as strong as ever today, it is now a certainty that LeBron and Curry will not be meeting in this years' playoffs. James and his Lakers have been surging of late, and are heavy favorites to go all the way to the Finals in the West, while Curry, who is still out with a hand injury, and his Warriors are now bound to the lottery with their awful play throughout the early part of the season.
