DeAndre Jordan is no stranger to Los Angeles. The big man spent the first decade of his career as a foundational piece on a relatively successful Clippers team.

But even then, Jordan knew they were always going to be second fiddle to the Lakers, via ClutchPoints' Michael Corvo.

“I think I was treated pretty fairly and pretty good when I was a Clipper for 10 years. But obviously, this is a big sports town and a lot of the fans are Lakers fans. Even when I was with the Clippers, we understood that.

But, I had great years when I was with the Clippers and that franchise was amazing to me and I appreciate the time that I was there, for sure.”

Despite some ownership controversy and a handful of postseason letdowns, DeAndre Jordan's tenure with the Clippers was above and beyond what was expected of him. LAC drafted him in the second round in 2008, and he quickly repaid their trust in him and then some, making an All-Star team and garnering multiple All-NBA selections as a franchise center.

While it may be bittersweet for Clippers fans to see DeAndre Jordan in a Lakers uniform, they definitely have nothing but well wishes for DJ as he enters the final years of his career.
