Isaiah Thomas has been desperate for another shot at the NBA level. The former All-Star has reportedly worked out in private with a couple of teams, including the Los Angeles Lakers.

In one of IT's recent interviews with ESPN's Malika Andrews, he all but confirmed that he was auditioning for a spot on the Lakers to join his former teammate in LeBron James.

“I mean I saw there was something out there from the other day,” said IT about his Lakers workout rumors. “I’ve been in the gym with some highly talented guys. … Yeah I’ve been in the gym with who you think I’ve been in the gym with.”

While Isaiah Thomas' move to the Lakers hasn't been reported as imminent just yet, he did drop what could be construed as a subtle hint that LA is indeed on his mind. The 2-time All-Star recently put out an offer for a signed jersey in exchange for access to purchase a sought-after pair of Travis Scott 1s. But what's interesting is the jersey he picked to sign when he made the exchange – purple and gold.

Thomas only played one season for the Lakers, then proceeded to play for three different teams since that short stint back in 2018. He could've gone with any of those jerseys, or his much more familiar Boston Celtics threads. Whether this means anything or not, there's no doubt Isaiah Thomas wouldn't pass up a shot at a title on the Lakers alongside LeBron James.
