The Los Angeles Lakers are experiencing their first mini-crisis of the season, as Luke Walton is reportedly under pressure from Magic Johnson, Rob Pelinka, and the front office for the slow start. Right on cue, LaVar Ball is talking about how he could coach the Lakers to greatness.

So don't worry, if it doesn't work out with Walton, LaVar would be the perfect candidate to step in, according to him. He told Declan Olley of Sky Sports News:

“If you have Lonzo and you have the best player in the world which is LeBron James, how do you not win a Championship? My prediction for this season is the Championship. If they need help to shoot I'll coach them. I can coach them with my eyes closed.

“There's only one way to beat the Golden State Warriors is to go faster than them. If you have length and speed you can beat them.”

LaVar Ball has been uncharacteristically quiet over the last few months. It almost looked like he decided it was time to tone it down after the Lakers signed LeBron James. It was almost as if Ball finally realized that his talk would become a distraction for the team. But you can't expect a self-promoter like Ball to stay quiet for long.

LeBron and the Lakers are already living up to the hype that James' monumental signing brought to the team. They aren't winning right now, but the soap-opera style drama surrounding the team is impossible to look away from.
