The aging of Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James was evident after he claimed that he couldn't get the same spread that his teammate in Anthony Davis can easily enjoy leading up to Super Bowl LV on Sunday, via Mike Trudell.

James is already known for having a strict diet and regimen for the most part of his career. The emphasis that he puts on his health ultimately helped him prolong his playing years. Not only is he still in the league, but he continues to dominate at a high level while playing in his 18th individual campaign.

His dedication to his craft continues to pay its dividends as he is still averaging norms of 25.5 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 7.8 assists in 24 games this season. The four-time MVP's veteran wits came to show on Saturday night during their game against the Detroit Pistons.

The Purple and Gold looked like they were about to cruise to an easy victory but the Pistons fought back and inched closer to their opponents. They stretched the game to double-overtime but James' heroics ultimately lifted the Lakers in the extra periods.

James notched eight points in the second overtime and accounted for a total of 33 points along with 11 rebounds by the end of the game. Davis backstopped his teammate after scoring 30 points and five rebounds of his own.

The duo's production from the field was enough to fend off Jerami Grant's huge night bannered by his 32 points. The Lakers ultimately ran away with a 135-129 victory to further climb up the standings with an 18-6 record for the second spot in the Western Conference.

After a huge win, LeBron James is looking to take advantage of the team's day off to enjoy Super Bowl LV, minus the unhealthy food on his table.
