LeBron James wants everyone to listen to Teddy Bridgewater and his rather stern message about athletes' “tough guy image.” After all, for the Los Angeles Lakers superstar, what the Miami Dolphins quarterback said is true.

On Wednesday, Bridgewater went viral for expressing how he's “tired of seeing football players portray this tough guy image or pretend he's a gangsta.” While he did admit that there are some players who are really that tough, majority are actually not and are simply “football tough.”

The Dolphins QB went on to remind his fellow athletes that children look up at them, so they should consider how the youth perceive what they do. As for the kids watching players like him, the 29-year-old NFL vet told them to not be fooled and remember they can still play the sport while doing the “right thing” instead of faking a tough guy image just to look acceptable to his peers.

“Kids don’t be fooled. You can play ball, do the right thing and they still gonna accept you,” Bridgewater wrote. “Look at me, I’m far from perfect but I chose the ball route but I still can go to the hood and post up and it’s all love. I still keep the same 3 dudes around me. My people accept me for making all the right decisions and not falling victim or being tricked by the false image you see on IG from a lot of ball players.”

After seeing Teddy Bridgewater's message, LeBron James shared it on Twitter and captioned it with “all facts” to express his agreement on the take. While Bridgewater was pertaining to NFL players in his message, it certainly rings true in the NBA as well.

LeBron has never been one to portray that “tough guy” image. He has always been a role model, frequently using his platform to spark change and motivate the youth. With that said, he can surely attest to what Bridgewater said on their peers and circle still accepting them even without having to act like a “gangsta.”
