The Los Angeles Lakers trading for superstar big man Anthony Davis to pair up with LeBron James was the story of the NBA offseason. At the time, Davis had made the All-Star game in six of his first seven seasons and had already been named to three All-Defensive teams.

With two superstars playing together, the Lakers formed undoubtedly one of the best duos the league has ever seen.

So far, that partnership has worked incredibly well. In fact, James himself is inclined to agree, per Ben Golliver of the Washington Post.

The James and Davis duo has led the Lakers to a Western Conference-best 47-13 record through 60 games. The Purple and Gold look like true title contenders with the two superstars at the helm.

Not only from a team chemistry or win standpoint, but the Lakers duo has also put up some impressive individual stats.

In his 17th season, LeBron James has proven to still be one of, if not the best player in the NBA. The 35-year-old veteran is averaging 25.5 points, 7.8 rebounds and a league-high 10.6 assists per game while shooting 49.6 percent from the field and 35.0 percent from deep.

As for Anthony Davis, the star big man is putting up 26.4 points, 9.4 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 2.5 blocks and 1.5 steals per game in his first season in Los Angeles. He is also a prime candidate for the league's Defensive Player of the Year award.
