Following a string of underwhelming games, Lonzo Ball turned a lot of heads with a historic performance on Saturday, as he became the youngest player in NBA history to record a triple-double. At only 20 years old and 15 days, he was able to beat the feat set by LeBron James by five days, and rewrite the history books. However, that was not the only record he broke on the night.

By finishing with 19 points, 12 rebounds, 13 assists, to go along with three steals and four blocks, the Los Angeles Lakers rookie also became the first player to notch a stat line like that, with at least 11 rebounds, according to Elias Sports.

Ball had been struggling with his shots prior to Saturday’s game, as he even owned the second lowest shooting percentage for any player in the shot clock era through 12 games. That changed quickly though as he was very efficient from the field as well, when he shot 7-of-12. The only thing that did not his way, was his efforts were not enough to lead the Lakers to a victory, losing their third consecutive game.

The huge game he had could do wonders for his young career, as it could lift his spirits and boost his confidence further. Ball had previously said that he knows he can make shots, and now that he has recorded triple-double, coupled with an efficient percentage from the field, it may lead to more big games from him, which the Lakers badly need at this point, to get back to their winning ways.
