The Los Angeles Lakers have acquired the 39th overall pick in the upcoming NBA Draft from the Philadelphia 76ers.

As reported by ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Lakers will send the Sixers its 2019 second round pick via Bulls and cash.

Are the Lakers setting up for a blockbuster trade, probably for Kawhi Leonard? Just recently, the Leonard requested for a trade from the San Antonio Spurs. Reports reveal that the Lakers is his preferred destination.  Are they stacking up on some assets for a possible sign and trade situation?

It's still a wait-and-see at this point. But knowing the Lakers and their winning culture, every move they make is calculated — all aimed at attaining glory.

Along with Leonard, LeBron James and Paul George have been rumored of wanting to go to the Lakers. While it is nearly impossible to see all three joining the purple and gold, anything can pretty much happen at this point. Just keep in mind the big moves they made a few years back involving Pau Gasol. At one point, they even landed Chris Paul but was vetoed by the NBA.

With this said, expect the Lakers to make more moves in the next few hours, tomorrow at draft night, and throughout the course of the offseason.
