Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James recently faced harsh criticism from franchise legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for certain actions this season that he believes are “beneath” The King, which has caused some controversy. Kareem also called out James for his reluctance to promote people to get vaccinated against COVID-19, especially after he posted a Spiderman meme essentially making a mockery of the virus.

Despite the drama between the Lakers icons, Magic Johnson believes they will sit down and figure things out with no issues in the very near future.

Via TMZ Sports:

“I think they'll work out,” Johnson said. “They'll work out. It's not that big of a deal. They'll work it out.”

After his harsh comments towards the Lakers vet though, Kareem apologized on Tuesday, saying he never meant to bash LeBron, who has done so much for black people and the game of basketball. Via ESPN:

“It wasn't my intention to criticize LeBron in any way. He has done so much for the Black community as well as for the game of basketball. We may not always agree, but I want to wholeheartedly apologize to LeBron and make it clear to him that I have tremendous respect for him. And if he can accept that, I'll be very happy.”

James meanwhile, is 1,326 points behind Abdul-Jabbar for becoming the all-time leading scorer in NBA history. I'm sure Magic is correct, the two will set aside their differences and hash things out. It's the right thing to do.
