Vanessa Bryant, the widow of late Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant, posted an emotional message along with an Instagram video celebrating the anniversary of her husband's final NBA game.

Bryant scored 60 points in what may easily be the best career-closing performance of all time in a Lakers come-from-behind win over the Utah Jazz.

Vanessa shared a clip of The Black Mamba's postgame speech, accompanied by these words:

“My husband worked his ass off for 20 years. Gave it his all,” read the caption. “All he wanted was to spend time with our girls and me to make up for lost time. He wanted to be there for every single milestone and special moment in our girls lives. He only got to enjoy 3 years and 9 months of retirement.

“We had 2 more daughters, he won an Oscar, he opened Granity studios, he became a 5x best selling author and coached Gianna’s basketball team in that time. She worked hard and gave her all 7 days a week just like her daddy. I wish I could back to that morning, every day. I wish they had a normal local game on 1/26. Life truly isn’t fair. This is just senseless.”

Mrs. Bryant is still hurting from the helicopter accident that took Kobe and Gianna's life on Jan. 26 — an event that left a sour taste to the new year. Bryant, his daughter Gianna, and seven other passengers were aboard an S-76 Sikorsky helicopter that crashed into the hills of Calabasas on a Sunday morning.

Vanessa, her three daughters, and the rest of the NBA community are still trying to make sense of his death, as the Lakers legend was gone too soon at 41 years old.
