Former San Antonio Spurs superstar forward Kawhi Leonard quickly became a Toronto Raptors legend this season. While ultimately leading the surging Eastern Conference franchise to its first ever NBA Championship, Leonard now has a major decision to make with free agency looming large.

Although the Raptors were not initially under consideration after he was first shipped north of the border from the Spurs, Leonard is reportedly seriously thinking about remaining in Toronto for the foreseeable future. Because of his positive experience in Canada, Leonard is currently weighing his options with the Raps still at the forefront of such a decision.

However, the City of Los Angeles will not go down without a fight — both the Los Angeles Clippers and Los Angeles Lakers included. In fact, according to Adrian Wojnarowski and Zach Lowe of ESPN, Kawhi Leonard and his camp are keeping tabs on the Lakers.

Most notably, the Lakers signed former Cleveland Cavaliers and Miami Heat superstar forward LeBron James last offseason before agreeing to acquire Anthony Davis from the New Orleans Pelicans this time around.

With plenty of roster space still available thanks to the recent deal between the Lakers and Pelicans, Los Angeles will continue to look for additional help to play alongside the All-Star tandem of James and Davis in 2019-20 and beyond.

With James injured for the majority of last season, his first go-round out on the West Coast was a massive flop as the Lakers missed out on the 2019 playoffs.
