Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James has been a busy man. Between family life and preparing for the coming season, the King hasn't had much time for himself. In fact, he went 18 days without a haircut. So, as you might expect, he was thrilled to get a fresh fade from his barber, Slick Nick.

“Yo, my boy Slick Nick came through and gave me one of those grade-A cuts,” James said in a video he posted. “OOOH-WEEE!”

“I was looking super rough,” James added. “Two weeks?” I mean, technically, like 18 days without a cut. As soon as I got back I had to sit in that chair.”

Clearly, James is pleased with his new line up.

The Kid from Akron will have a new running mate for the coming season, as Anthony Davis joined the Lakers over the summer. Together, the two All-Stars will look to lead Los Angeles back into playoff contention.

The Lakers were competitive through the early stages of last season. In fact, they were ranked sixth in the Western Conference at one time. However, James went down with a groin injury near the midway point of that campaign, which forced him to miss a substantial amount of time. As a result, Los Angeles fell out of the playoff hunt.

Hopefully, with an offseason to prepare, the Lakers will find their way back into the race.
