Riot Games will increase the prices and adopt a different pricing model on League of Legends RP and TFT Coins starting August 19, 2022.

In the post, Riot stated that this change is due to “worldwide inflation, currency fluctuations, maintaining fair prices between and within regions, consistency across our products, and other associated cost increases.” They also said that the Tencent regions will have other ways to account for these factors, and Garena regions will not be affected by these price increases yet.

During a limited time offer that will take place on July 14 to July 31, players will get twice as much RP and TFT coins on all purchases. After this limited offer, RP bundles will go back to normal until the prices change on August 19.

Aside from being affected by inflation, these changes also give some regions a single-transaction way to get 1350 RP  League of Legends skins or 1380 RP/TFT Coins arena skins.

Riot Games is also adopting the standard $X.99 model for “consistency.”
