Following months of speculation has led to All-Star forward LeBron James has decided to join the Los Angeles Lakers on a max contract of four years worth $154 million.

Shortly following this monumental move has led to an immediate response from James via his Instagram account voicing his appreciation for the last four years since he came back to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The second tenure with the Cavaliers featured much success where success where he led the team to four straight NBA Finals that includes bringing the franchise their first championship. This was, in fact, the city of Cleveland's first professional sports title in over a half-century. He had helped the organization reach their greatest heights behind his stellar play that has seen him make some of the best campaigns of his career

James now shifts to playing in the Western Conference for the first time in his career where he will be one of the biggest markets in the league. This is a strong show of faith in the Lakers that they could build a championship contender in the near future. Los Angeles currently has a young promising core group of players together with Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma, Brandon Ingram, and Josh Hart.

It is likely that the team will bring aboard several proven players via free agency or through the trade market with the team expressing interest in Clint Capela, Amir Johnson, and DeMarcus Cousins. This has also reportedly ramped up the level of desire that All-Star forward Kawhi Leonard has in making his way to the Lakers via a trade this offseason or as a free agent next summer.

This move could create a ripple effect across the NBA that could lead to the rest of the league reacting to James making the choice to join Los Angeles.
