HBO's Hard Knocks could be making its way to Allen Park to follow the Detroit Lions during their 2019 training camp.

According to a rumor spread through Twitter, “Hearing the Detroit Lions will be featured on HBO's Hard Knocks this year…” NFL Insider Leroy said.

The rumor does not have any confirmation beside it, and Lions head coach Matt Patricia is just as much in the dark as NFL fans everywhere.

“I have no information,” Patricia told Detroit reporters earlier today. “I've been told absolutely nothing, as far as that's concerned. The organization has been told nothing, as far as that's concerned.”

In Patricia's first season with the Lions, the team finished with a 6-10 record and fourth-place spot in the NFC North.

The team signed multiple free agents including defensive end Trey Flowers, tight end Jesse James, and wide receiver Danny Amendola.

Detroit also selected Iowa tight end T.J. Hockenson with the eighth pick in 2019 NFL Draft.

Other teams like the New York Giants, Oakland Raiders, San Francisco 49ers, and Washington Redskins have also been rumored to be on the shortlist for the HBO show.

To even shorten the short list, the 49ers are reportedly not in the running anymore.

Detroit provides an intriguing option for Hard Knocks, with quarterback Matthew Stafford and following the still young tenure of Patricia.

Meanwhile, Washington and New York provide the option to follow rookie quarterbacks in their first training camp. Also, Oakland has second-year head coach Jon Gruden and first-year general manager Mike Mayock.

HBO Hard Knocks is expected to make a decision sometime in June.
