Jurgen Klopp credits another Liverpool star amid Mohamed Salah frenzy

While many have been raving about the exceptional form of Mohamed Salah, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp pointed out that there’s another player on his squad who also deserves credit.

Mo Salah is having the time of his life this season, having bagged a total of 10 goals in 10 matches played across all competitions thus far. The cherry on top, was his sensational curling 54th-minute finish in Liverpool’s recent 5-0 win over Watford.

As expected, Jurgen Klopp heaped praise on his talisman but he also acknowledged the beauty of Sadio Mane’s “100th English Premier League goal.”

Mane copped the said feat by scoring the opening goal for Liverpool, something Klopp branded as a “special thing.”

“And the special thing is, we should not forget that Sadio Mane scored 100 goals without a penalty, so that makes a difference for sure,” Klopp told Liverpool’s official website. “It’s a special number, absolutely.”

“He should be and will be, hopefully, proud of that,” he continued. “That doesn’t happen for a lot of players. You don’t have to talk about Sadio’s quality – he’s a world-class player as well. It’s incredible how good he is. Big day for him, 100 per cent, and I’m really happy for him.”

Mane, on the other hand, is thrilled to have achieved such an incredible milestone in one of the most prestigious tournaments in the world. He is now looking forward to scoring “more goals” for Liverpool.

“I’m very happy and very proud to score 100 goals,” Mane told the club’s website. “Hopefully more goals [are] coming and also trophies coming.”
