Longtime Cincinnati Bengals executive Pete Brown has unfortuntely passed away. He was 74-years-old at the time of his passing.

For those maybe missing some context, Pete Brown was football royalty. While you might not recognize his name, especially if you're outside the Ohio region, he's the son of Hall of Fame coach Paul Brown and brother of Bengals President Mike Brown.

“Pete was the quiet one, but his talents spoke volumes,” Mike Brown said in a statement. “Pete was more prone to action than talk, and his contributions to the Bengals were significant. He was a fine scout and judge of prospects, a wonderful business partner, and an even better brother and family member. Everyone who knew Pete cared about him and respected him. I feel his loss deeply.”

Paul Brown founded the Bengals. Both of his sons, Mike and Pete, were with him through the entire thing. When Paul passed, Mike and Pete played a huge role in helping the franchise get going.

Mike is likely the more known of the Brown brothers, as he's the one that was calling all the shots, but Pete was with the organization and played a hand in its growth throughout his life.

Our thoughts are with his family and friends.
