The Madden 21 player ratings have yet again heard some words of disappointment from the players. Many of the snubbed players are left scratching their heads and searching for answers. Their lower-than-expected ratings in the game should only add an extra chip on their shoulders heading into the upcoming season.

Here are the top 10 players who need a bump in their Madden 21 ratings ASAP.

10. Lamar Jackson, 94 overall

The 2019 NFL MVP finds himself on this list mainly because he needs at least a 97 overall. It is still surprising that the Madden 21 cover athlete himself was rated as the sixth-best quarterback of the game. However, Jackson already took a massive leap going from a 76 overall to where he is now, which is quite impressive.

He can only expect his rating to go up once the season progresses if he continues to deliver on MVP-caliber performances.

9. Mark Andrews, 86 overall

Mark Andrews sits at the eight spot, tied with Greg Olsen among the game's best tight ends. The Baltimore Ravens tight end finished seventh in receptions (64), fifth in receiving yards (852), and first in touchdowns scored (10). Rob Gronkowski retired in 2018 but still found himself high on the list, sitting in at the 3rd spot with a 95 rating.

Philadelphia Eagles tight end Zach Ertz also had what seemed to be a down year last season and was rated at 90 overall, good for the 4th spot. These players being rated higher doesn't help Andrews' cause at all and makes his argument more valid.

8. Mark Ingram II, 86 overall

Baltimore Ravens running back Mark Ingram tallied an 86 rating for the third-straight season. Through 10 years in the league, he has yet to break into the 90s rating column ever since. Ingram was three-time Pro Bowler and had applaudable careers in his time both in New Orleans and Baltimore.

Ingram also took to Twitter to voice out his disappointment, pointing out that he had an 89.6% catch percentage last season while catching 26 out of 29 passes for 247 yards, and scored five receiving touchdowns. He sits at the 7th highest rated player among Ravens players.

7. Tre'Davious White, 90 overall

90 is a number too low for a player coming off of a productive season. White, a 3-year veteran, was a Pro Bowler, a first-team All-Pro member, and the NFL interceptions co-leader last season. The defensive ace also didn't allow any touchdown during both the regular season and the playoffs.

Coming in at his current rating, he is tied for the fourth-highest rating among all cornerbacks. He trails 99 club member Stephon Gilmore, Jalen Ramsey, Richard Sherman, and tied with Jaire Alexander.

6. Darius Leonard, 85 overall

Leonard expressed his disappointment with his player rating. For a top-five linebacker to get a mere 85 is plain disrespectful. He is coming off two incredible seasons which saw him earn the 2018 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year, 2018 NFL Tackles leader, and a first-team All-Pro inclusion.

He followed it up with a Pro Bowl appearance and becoming a member of the second-team All-Pro team in 2019.

5. Kyler Murray, 77 overall

The first pick of the 2018 NFL Draft has made his disappointment be heard on Twitter. He has been vocal about his Madden 21 rating and made it clear that he is worth more than a 77 overall. His arguments may be valid since the 2019 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year was only rated a point higher than 2019 top draft pick Joe Burrow who hasn't even played a single game yet.

With some quality recruits coming on board for the Cardinals in the upcoming season, Murray may very well have the opportunities to bump his rating throughout the season.

4. Alvin Kamara, 88 overall

The New Orleans Saints running back was slated as the 10th best tailback in the game, tied with sophomore Josh Jacobs. Kamara also totaled over 1,300 scrimmage yards in three-straight seasons. If that isn't enough reason to bump his ratings, then I don't know what is.

The 24-year old player nursed an ankle and knee injury during the 2019 season. These setbacks limited his explosiveness and productivity on the field. Notwithstanding his injuries, he remains to be one of the league's most dangerous ball-carriers. With the extra time off, Kamara hopes to regain his old form and prove to the game's raters that he can do a lot better than having an 88 overall.

3. Jimmy Garoppolo, 83 overall

Madden 25 - Who should Be The Cover Athlete?

Massimo Marchiano ·

Even after leading his 49ers squad to a Super Bowl LIV appearance, Jimmy G continues to be disrespected. The former Patriots back-up amassed an 83 overall rating in Madden 21 and failed to crack the game's top-10 quarterbacks. I would honestly put him above Carson Wentz, who was given an 84 overall rating and was hailed as the 10th best gunslinger in the game.

With invaluable playoff experiences under his belt, he hopes to thrive better in Kyle Shanahan's system in the upcoming season. With this comes more won games, a possible trip back to the Super Bowl, and a better overall rating come Madden 22.

2. Deshaun Watson, 86 overall

Watson's rating may be one of the most eye-opening early ratings I have ever seen. With an 86 overall rating, he is only listed as the eighth-best quarterback in the game. An aging Tom Brady was even ranked higher than him with a 90 overall rating. I feel like the Houston Texans gunslinger should get to be at par, if not higher, than his Tampa Bay counterpart.

However, Watson's back may be up against the wall as he is now heading into the upcoming season without his main target DeAndre Hopkins.

1. Nick Bosa, 89 overall

Summing up this list is San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa. After being selected with the second overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, Ohio State Buckeye Nick Bosa is having a great career thus far. He tallied nine sacks, 16 tackles, and 25 QB hits en route to the 2019 Defensive Rookie of the Year. He also made a significant contribution to the team's deep run in the 2019 NFL playoffs. He recorded four sacks all throughout and forced a fumble in Super Bowl LIV.

Bosa found himself with a lowly 89 rating and a non-inclusion in the game's top ten pass-rushers list. With all his accolades and his potential to be a game-changer on any given match, he could have at least earned a 92 and above. Despite his young career, his ability on the field should not be discounted for a better overall rating.
