Madden 22 gets a huge update as Electronic Arts scrambles to fix the game's launch state in a bid to make players reconsider their refunds.

Madden 22 experienced a lot of flak from long-time fans of the series, leading to a below 1 user score on Metacritic. Because of this, EA needs to fix the game ASAP and find a way to regain the trust of their fans. The new September 2 update of Madden 22 aims to add more authenticity to the game, but also gameplay balancing and features tweaking that will address the many complaints of players and critics alike.

The massive Madden 22 update touches a lot of ground, from gameplay to AI and even the game's user interface. This just shows how much tweaking the game still needed when it launched before it can become palatable to NFL fans. New playbooks have also been added to The Yard playbook, with improvements also being done to The Yard's buggy AI.

This new update definitely gives owners of Madden 22 some reason to revisit the game. That is if it hasn't been refunded yet. Hopefully, those who are sticking with the game can still get the most fun out of it, with these updates giving improvements to their gameplay experience in any way they can.

Madden 22 was released last August and was met with very harsh criticisms from fans. But it doesn't seem like Electronic Arts has been deterred in developing the game. More updates will surely come in the following months, with Madden 22‘s quality improving piecemeal long after launch.
