Orlando Magic forward Aaron Gordon has a sprained left ankle and is a game-time decision for Sunday night's game against the New York Knicks, according to John Denton of Magic.com.

Gordon suffered the injury in the Magic's 117-108 victory over the Washington Wizards on Friday night. He had 20 points, seven rebounds and four assists in the win, which was Orlando's third in its last four games.

“It feels like I don’t have a lot of movement in it right now because it’s a little swollen, but I’m going to go back to the hotel and get a little more treatment on it and we’ll see by tonight,” Aaron Gordon said on Sunday morning following the Magic’s shoot-around session at Madison Square Garden.

Gordon would love to be able to give it a go, especially with Jonathan Isaac set to miss a fifth straight game because of his own ankle injury.

“(Clifford) knows that I am a competitor and I am,’’ Aaron Gordon said. “He knows that I’ll go if I’m able to go. That’s never changed about me and if I can go, I’ll go.”

If Gordon can't play, rookie big man Mo Bamba could get his first career start, though Denton believes Magic coach Steve Clifford would go with Jarell Martin as the starter so Bamba could keep his usual rotation spot.

Gordon is averaging 16.3 points, 8.1 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 33.0 minutes per game after signing a four-year extension in the summer. The 23-year-old is trying to lead the Magic back to the playoffs for the first time since Dwight Howard left.

Orlando is 5-7 on the young season.
