Manchester United want to seal the sale of Donny Van de Beek as early as next week. All the transfer windows are closed in the football world except for the Turkish transfer window. The Red Devils hope they can find an agreement with one of the Turkish giants regarding the Dutch midfielder.

According to the reports from the Football Insider, Manchester United are talking to a few “unnamed” Turkish clubs regarding the possibility of Van de Beek's sale. The Turkish transfer window closes on September 15. The 26-year-old has been surplus to requirements at Old Trafford ever since he was signed by Ole Gunnar Soljskaer in 2020.

Many expected Erik ten Hag to turn his fate around, considering he made Van de Beek one of the best midfielders at Ajax. However, Van de Beek never took the chances provided to him and constantly fell down the pecking order. With the additions of Sofyan Amrabat and Mason Mount, Van de Beek's chances of surviving at Old Trafford have become even more slim.

Manchester United have already sold Fred to Galatasaray in this window. The Brazilian midfielder was linked with a move to Fulham initially before sealing his transfer with the Turkish giants. Fred remains the only first-team midfielder that Manchester United have been able to sell in this transfer window. The Red Devils have struggled to sell players, which has resulted in loan moves for Amrabat and Sergio Reguilon. Ten Hag needed to offload players in this transfer window to meet the regulations of Financial Fairplay (FFP).
